丸茂研究室では生活習慣病と合併症の研究を進めています。臨床と基礎の接点を大事にして、現場での問題や疑問を基礎的な手法で解決していきたいと考えています。新たな分野を開拓するような視点をもつように心がけており、現在はエピジェネティックな側面からの研究を進めています。

Our laboratory studies molecular mechanisms underlying diabetes, hypertension,
and their complications. We aim at conducting cutting-edge research with a translational approach. Our present focus is on
using epigenetic information to understand the pathogenesis of diabetic complications and develop a diagnostic system.
